Every week serves a purpose. Every session builds on the last. You always know where you are in the block and what you're building toward.

Phase 01
Weeks 1–4 · Foundation

Build the base.

Establish movement quality, strength foundation, and athlete-coach calibration. Integrate with your current endurance demands. Identify and address weak links before they limit your Phase 2 output.

Phase 02
Weeks 5–8 · Power Development

Build the performance layer.

Increase load, specificity, and power output. Sessions become race-relevant — climbing power, sprint durability, functional strength under fatigue. This is where the fitness built in Phase 1 becomes performance.

Phase 03
Weeks 9–12 · Race Prep & Peak

Arrive race-ready.

Taper, peak, and consolidate gains. Load management is timed precisely around your event date. You arrive at race day with all the fitness, none of the accumulated fatigue.

The three-phase structure is the skeleton — the PowerX system is the nervous system. If you have a hard race week, Phase 2 adjusts. If you're running high fatigue in Week 7, the program adapts rather than forcing the plan. The structure is fixed; the delivery is responsive.
